COURSES
Animalwise is pleased to offer Education and Training at all levels from Primary to Tertiary levels including Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Training. These courses are delivered with a combination of teaching methods such as Power Point presentations, white Board (chalk and talk), live and preserved specimens, workshops and guest speakers.
Reptile Keeping Course
A course designed to provide the essentials of proper care of recreational and commercially kept reptiles. This course is suitable for Pet Shops, Vet Nurses, Wildlife Carers and other interested people. Includes: Housing, Health, Handling, Feeding, Legislation, First Aid. ID. Chart, Booklet, Certificate, Refreshments & Lunch. This course is approved by the Executive Director of the Queensland E.P.A. (Environmental Protection Agency).
1 Day Cost: From $280/head (max 15 people)
Specialist Reptile Course
This is an advanced course designed for the keeper interested in the keeping of venomous snakes, removal and relocation techniques for problematic venomous & non venomous snakes, as required for a Damage Mitigation Permit Includes: Characteristics, Behaviour of Elapids, Identification Techniques, Housing, Health, Legislation, Handling, Safety & Risk Analysis, Venoms, First Aid, Refreshments, Lunch, Notes and Certificate all Provided.
2 Day Course Cost: From $410/head (max 10 people)
SNAKEWISE in the Workplace
This presentation can be tailored for industry needs from a two hour to a two day insight into the safest way to remove and relocate non venomous reptiles in the Workplace. Course Includes: Risk assessment, Legislation, Handling, Removal to suitable relocation areas. First Aid, Lunch, Notes and Certificate. (max 10 people)
